Teqball and Teqvoly: The New Sports Phenomenon Taking Spain by Storm Thanks to V3RTICE’s Brand Visibility Efforts

V3rtice Drives the Growth of Teqball and Teqvoly in Spain with a Comprehensive Sports Communication Strategy

Teqball and Teqvoly are two sports disciplines that, although recent, have made a strong entrance onto the international scene and in Spain as well. Teqball, a blend of football and table tennis played on a curved table, and Teqvoly, which combines volleyball and table tennis, represent a new generation of dynamic, spectacular sports that are accessible to all kinds of audiences.

Both sports are rapidly gaining visibility in our country, thanks in part to the strategic work of V3rtice’s PR and Communication departments — a key factor in their national positioning.

V3rtice’s Role in Building Brand Visibility for a New Type of Sport

From the outset, the goal was clear: to introduce Teqball and Teqvoly to the general public, connect them with the media, and generate awareness through major events and prominent sports ambassadors.

Public Relations Strategy to Reach the General Public

In coordination with the organisers and the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), the team successfully maximised brand visibility with strong media coverage that connected top-tier sports figures and outlets, achieving a high volume of media hits and strengthening brand awareness.

Teqball World Series 2024: A Milestone in Sports Communication

One of the major milestones of this strategy was the celebration of the Teqball World Series 2024 in Madrid, held from May 23 to 26, which brought together 128 players from 31 countries and concluded with spectacular finals in the iconic Plaza de España. Spain was represented by seven players, consolidating the sport’s growth in the country and the interest of the local audience.

Teqvoly: An Inclusive Sport Beginning to Shine

Teqvoly, for its part, has also begun to gain ground. On June 1 and 2, the municipality of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat hosted an open-registration amateur competition with the participation of 32 teams — in both men’s and women’s doubles categories — each offering a prize of €10,000. Thanks to V3rtice’s communication management, the event became a strong introduction for this emerging sport, highlighting its spectacular nature and inclusivity.

Results and Outlook Thanks to V3rtice’s PR and Communication Work

In short, the sports communication work and public relations strategy have been key to establishing Teqball and Teqvoly in Spain as disciplines with great potential, supported by flagship events, a growing community, and a strong media presence.
